JLS Auto Group

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 15, 2026 · Last updated: October 22, 2026

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors to this website, people who send us an enquiry, and people who submit a credit application. For information collected in connection with financing, also see our separate GLBA Privacy Notice.

Who we are

JLS INC, doing business as JLS Auto Group, is a premium auto brokerage and leasing business in Los Angeles, California. This website has two purposes: let you ask us about a vehicle, and let you apply for credit so we can arrange financing or a lease for you.

We are based in Los Angeles, California. You can reach us at 213-245-4014 or by email at jlsauto26@gmail.com.

Summary

A credit application asks for a lot of sensitive information, including your Social Security number, date of birth, address history, employment, and income. We collect that information only because lenders require it to evaluate credit and verify identity. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

This policy is a general website privacy policy. It is not a substitute for the separate GLBA Privacy Notice that governs information collected in connection with financing, or for the separate credit-report authorization you sign in the application itself.

The table below lists the categories, examples, purposes, and retention criteria. It is the complete list for this website — we do not collect anything else through this site.

Sources

  • Directly from you, in the contact form or credit application.
  • Co-applicant information is provided by the applicant. The applicant must confirm they have authority to provide it, and the co-applicant must sign their own authorization in the application.
  • Lenders or credit reporting agencies may return information to us in connection with your application (for example, a decision or request for more information). We do not pull credit reports ourselves through this website — lenders do, under your separate authorization.

What we do not collect through this site

No account passwords, no payment card numbers, no race / ethnicity / sex / religion / national origin, no analytics identifiers, no advertising identifiers, and no precise geolocation. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies for tracking. If you refresh the credit application before submitting, the form clears.

How we use your information

  • Respond to your enquiry and discuss vehicles, pricing, and timing with you.
  • Review your credit application, contact you about it, and arrange financing or a lease for you.
  • Share your application with assigned lenders, who may obtain a consumer credit report about you under your separate authorization, to evaluate credit and verify information.
  • Provide customer service and follow up on your request.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse of our forms.
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal requests.

We do not use your credit application information for advertising, and we do not make automated decisions about you on this website. Any credit decision is made by the lender, not by this website.

How we share your information

  • Assigned lenders. If you submit a credit application and sign the separate credit-report authorization, we share your application with lenders we assign to evaluate financing. Lenders receive the full application, including your full Social Security number and date of birth, because they need it to evaluate credit. Those lenders are independent controllers of the information once they receive it, and they obtain credit reports under your authorization. See also our GLBA Privacy Notice.
  • Email delivery provider. When you submit a form, our website sends it to us by email through Resend. Resend processes the email to deliver it to us. The credit application is sent as a PDF attachment. The email body itself does not include your Social Security number or date of birth.
  • Hosting provider. Our website hosting provider processes website traffic to operate and serve this website.
  • Legal. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, or the rights, safety, or property of others.

Sale / sharing. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Sharing your credit application with assigned lenders at your request to evaluate financing, and sharing with Resend as a service provider under contract, is not a sale or sharing for advertising as defined by California privacy law. If any lender, lead buyer, or partner ever uses application data for its own advertising or independent purposes for value, this statement must change and opt-out rights would apply.

We do not email a copy of your completed credit application back to you. After you submit, you will see a confirmation with your application number. Save that number and quote it when you call us.

How we store, retain, and protect your information

This website does not store your application in a database. When you submit a credit application, the website generates a PDF and emails it to us. That PDF arrives in our email inbox, is forwarded to assigned lenders, and is then deleted from the inbox. Our customer system (CRM) keeps only your name, email, and address — it does not store your Social Security number, date of birth, or other sensitive application details.

Retention criteria

  • Contact enquiries: retained as long as needed to respond and follow up, then deleted.
  • Credit applications: After we process your application, we delete the PDF from the inbox. Our CRM keeps only your name, email, and address for customer records — it does not store your Social Security number, date of birth, or other sensitive application details. Any remaining copies are retained only as long as needed to serve your request, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations, then securely deleted, and in any case no later than 2 years after their most recent use to serve you, unless a legitimate business need, legal requirement, or legal hold requires longer.
  • Rate-limit data: in-memory only, 10-minute window, then discarded.

Security

Your information is encrypted in transit. Your application is never stored in your browser, and after you submit, the form is cleared from the page. Our server logs only a masked form of your Social Security number (last four digits), and never logs your full Social Security number, date of birth, or full application. Access to the inbox that receives applications is limited to the business owner only, and that inbox is protected by multi-factor authentication.

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of this information, including access controls, encryption in transit, multi-factor authentication on the inbox that receives applications, access limited to the business owner only, and vendor oversight. We do not publish technical specifics here, and we do not promise absolute security.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. Email is not an end-to-end encrypted channel. Please do not send us your Social Security number or other sensitive information by ordinary email, text message, or social media message outside of the credit application form on this website.

Sensitive personal information

A credit application includes sensitive personal information, including your Social Security number, date of birth, and precise address, as well as financial information such as income and housing payment. We use sensitive personal information only to provide the services you requested, to verify identity and prevent fraud, and as otherwise permitted or required by law. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we do not use it for advertising.

Because we use sensitive personal information only for those permitted purposes, we do not offer a “Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information” link. If that ever changes, we will add the link and notice required by law.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information under applicable privacy laws, including California privacy law. These may include the right to know what we collected, request a copy, correct inaccurate information, request deletion (subject to legal exceptions), and limit the use of sensitive personal information.

Important scope note: Information collected in connection with financing may be governed by the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) rather than the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). The GLBA exemption in CCPA is data-level, not entity-level: credit-application information collected to obtain financing is likely exempt from CCPA rights, while pre-application enquiry information may not be. If we cannot fulfill a request because the information is GLBA-covered or subject to a legal hold, we will explain why.

How to submit a request

We are based in Los Angeles, California. You can reach us at jlsauto26@gmail.com or 213-245-4014.

We may need to verify your identity before responding, for example by asking you to confirm your application number, name, and contact details. We will never ask you to email a full Social Security number to verify a request. You may authorize another person to make a request on your behalf, in which case we may ask for proof that you authorized them. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. We aim to respond within 45 days of a verifiable request, with one 45-day extension if needed and explained.

Review and correction

You may review and ask us to correct the personal information you provided through this website by contacting us using the methods above. If you are still in the application, you can also correct it in the form before submitting — the review step shows everything back before you sign.

Shine the Light

California residents may request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes, if any, by contacting us at the email or phone above with the subject “Your California Privacy Rights.” We do not currently disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing.

Do Not Track and third-party collection

We do not collect personal information about your online activities over time or across third-party websites through this site, and we do not allow other parties to do so through this site. There is no cross-site tracking to opt out of, and no Do Not Track response is needed because no such collection occurs. Our email provider and hosting provider process data only to deliver and operate this site, not to track you across the web.

Children

This website is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to submit a credit application. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this website, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date and last-updated date. If a change is material, we will provide a more prominent notice, for example a notice on the homepage or, where appropriate, by email to recent applicants, before the change takes effect. The version in effect when you submitted your information governs that submission, unless a newer version is required by law.
