This is a separate notice required by the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). It governs nonpublic personal information collected in connection with financing. It is separate from our general Privacy Policy, which covers this website generally.
Facts — What does JLS Auto Group do with your personal information?
Why?
Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.
What?
The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:
- Social Security number and date of birth
- Government-issued identification (such as a driver's license) and insurance information
- Name, address, phone, and email
- Income, employment, and housing payment information
- Address history and credit application information
- Co-applicant information, if you apply jointly
How?
All financial companies need to share customers' personal information to run their everyday business. In the section below, we list the reasons financial companies can share their customers' personal information, the reasons JLS Auto Group chooses to share, and whether you can limit this sharing.

Sharing to effectuate your request. When you submit a credit application and sign the separate credit-report authorization, we share your application with lenders we assign to evaluate financing. Lenders receive the full application, including your full Social Security number and date of birth, because they need it to evaluate credit. That sharing is necessary to carry out the transaction you requested, and federal law does not require an opt-out for that sharing. If any sharing outside the exceptions is added, this notice must be updated to provide an opt-out before that sharing.

What we do
- How does JLS Auto Group protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of this information, including access controls, encryption in transit, multi-factor authentication on the inbox that receives applications, access limited to the business owner only, and vendor oversight.
- How does JLS Auto Group collect my personal information? We collect your personal information, for example, when you apply for credit, give us your contact information, provide employment or income information, or upload identification and insurance documents. We collect it directly from you in the credit application and contact form. Co-applicant information is provided by the applicant, with the co-applicant's own authorization and signature.
- Why can't I limit all sharing? Federal law gives you the right to limit only sharing for affiliates' everyday business purposes (information about your creditworthiness), affiliates to market to you, and nonaffiliates to market to you. State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. See our Privacy Policy for any additional rights.
Definitions
- Affiliates: Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. JLS Auto Group does not currently share with affiliates.
- Nonaffiliates: Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. Assigned lenders that receive your application at your request to evaluate financing are nonaffiliates for this purpose.
- Joint marketing: A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you. JLS Auto Group does not engage in joint marketing.
